He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Joe" L. Jr. Murphy and Lily "Glo" Murphy (Wagner); his wife Jennifer Lynn Murphy (Newman); and his siblings, Jeffrey Murphy, Barry Murphy and Cathy Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Tawana Cox (Duane) and Eric Murphy (Liz); his grandsons, Trevor Cox and Hunter Murphy (Maddie); and his girlfriend Julie Diekmann.
