He is survived by : his wife Jane Whipple of Mount Vernon; his sons, Sammy Lee, Jr. of Evansville and Michael (Connie); his stepchildren, Kenneth Knowlton (Sarah) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Stacy Bragg (Douglas); his grandsons, Sammy Lee III and Garret of Evansville, Indiana; his stepgranddaughters, Verite Quintana of Indianapolis, Megan Johnson of Houston, Lesley Knowlton of Cincinnati and Sophie Bragg of Saint Louis, Missouri.; his sisters, Willie Bell Bradley of Dublin, Georgia, Parker Lou Whipple Pryce of Dublin, Ceola Foreman of Kingsland and Denise Whipple (Benjamin) of Willingboro; and his nieces and nephews, Dionne Dillard, Nicole S. Tucker, Tamala Foreman, Janice Pittman, Cherrie Arline, Annie Mae Gordon, Carolyn Daniels, Bernard Foreman, Brandon Foreman, Daniel Wiggins, Matthew Sampson and Reggie Whipple. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
