With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Winda Dumond of Mount Vernon, Indiana, born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Winda left this world on November 14, 2025 at the age of 71, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Windle Thompson and Eugenia Thompson (Davie). She is survived by: her husband Franklin; her sons, Joseph Dumond (Jaclyn) of Mount Vernon, IN, Jeffrey Dumond (Jillian) of Evansville, IN and Justin Dumond-Shaw (David) of Minneapolis, MN; her grandsons, William, Henry and Simon; and her siblings, Cheryl Johnson (Gary) of Broken Arrow, OK, Daniel and David Thompson of Salmon, ID. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schneider Funeral Home (512 Main St, Mt Vernon, IN 47620). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
