She was predeceased by : her parents, Bernard Paul and Florence Mae Russell (Jackson); her husband Herman Smith; her son Terry Smith; her sisters, Nancy Brown and Barbara McKinney; and her great grandchild Jackson Bennett.

She is survived by : her daughters, Debie Brooks (Terry) and Paula Bennett (Rick); her daughter-in-law Coral Smith; her siblings, George Russell (Marlene), Larry Russell (Pat) and Phyllis Peck (Brian); her grandchildren, Jay Brooks (Brandy), Nick Smith (Allie), Holly Brown (Andy), Matthew Bennett (Valerie) and Mike Bennett (Cassie); and her great grandchildren, Avery, Evey Brooks, Logan, Zeke Brown, Maddy Smith, Taylor, Trevor, Stella and Noah Bennett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Church of Mulberry.
