He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chester and Vickie Chester (Clark); his wife Tammy Chester (McIntyre); his son Robert McIntyre; his brother Shane Chester; and his nephew Samuel Chester.

He is survived by: his daughter Amber Wright (Chris); his brother Troy Chester (Amy Yost); his grandson Gabreal Kruge; and his nieces and nephews, Rhys Chester, Raimie Chester, Ryan Chester, William Chester and Moriah Chester.
