He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Watkins Jr. and Mary K. Watkins; his brother Larry L. Watkins; his aunts, Cleo Sawyer and Francis Parker; his uncle James Parker; his niece Larra Strong; and his cousin Kenney Watkins.
He is survived by: his sister Norma J. Watkins of Indianapolis, Indiana; his nieces and nephews, Tonya Wilkerson (Len) of Indianapolis, Erin R. Wilkerson of Indianapolis, Monica Strong, Monise Strong of Muncie, Indiana, Joshua A. Wilkerson (Autumn), Elisha A Wilkerson of Indianapolis and Demario Strong of Muncie, Indiana; and his cousins, Kathy Davis (Robert), Karen Campbell (Kevin) of Nashville, Tonia Garrison (Robert), Hariett Coleman (David) of Ripley, Jennifer Mays (Dewayne) of Memphis, Sean Watkins (Andrea) of Ripley, Dorothy Watkins and Latoya Finch (Anthony) of Chicago.
