He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Cope and Georgia Cope (Bertrum); and his siblings, Treva Bond, James Cope, Junior Cope, Faye Meece, Carroll Cope and Timmie Cope.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Cope; his children, Susan Brown (Rob), Tracy Cope (Paula) and Patrick Cope (Audrey); his grandchildren, Kyleigh Woods (Michael), Jacob Brown, Willem Cope, Nathan Cope, Mary Cayten, Paxton Cope and Ava Cope; and his siblings, Kenneth Cope, Ronnie Cope, Brenda Phillips and Connie Bodner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
