He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Chism and Kay Chism; his sister Marsha Dragoo; and his friend Phil Buck. He is survived by: his wife Lechelle; his siblings, Roger Chism (Vicky) and Sandy Johnson (Jake); his siblings-in-law, Edward Dragoo, Kurt Kaderly, Lydia Underwood and Kelly Stella; his nieces, Teaessa Chism Okino (Scott), Jamie Dragoo (Jason Nolley) and Tara Dragoo; his nephew Michael Lee Smith; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Zach Carter, Damien Smith, Chase Petrie, Kaylynn Nolley and Sierra Chism Okino. He is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
In lieu of flowers and to honor Carl's service to his country, memorial contributions can be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
