He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Smith and Thomas; his wife Linda K. Smith; and his daughter Debra Sue Smith. He is survived by: his children, Pamela K. Smith and Charles Smith II; and his grandson David Smith III (Kitty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
