She was predeceased by: her parents, William D. Oost and Katherine L. Oost (Whitaker); her daughter Christy K. Barford; her siblings, Pam Sharp, Fran Evans, Joe Oost and Barry Oost; and her brothers-in-law, Jimmy Hagan and David Evans.
She is survived by: her husband Tom Schmitt of Muncie; her daughters, Nicole Schmitt of Cincinnati, OH, Amy Auberger (Carl) of Cincinnati, OH and Jenny Stewart (Jerome) of Cincinnati, OH; her grandchildren, Jacob, Payton, Cole Barford, Noah, Owen, Eli Stewart and Addie Auberger; and her siblings, Tess Lindsey (Ron), Sarah Hagan, Jenny Ftacek and Greg Oost (Suzanne). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
