He was predeceased by: his parents, Clovis Everett Rukes and Elizabeth May Harris; his wife Linda Rukes; and his siblings, Maxine Maxine Tackett (Charlie), Anne Rosalie Alsup (Hershel), Camilla Elizabeth, Ralph Rukes and Paul Rukes.
He is survived by: his daughter Diana Rukes Badger (Kemuel); his grandchildren, Lindsay Badger James (Seth), Hannah Badger (Justin Crowder) and Braya Badger (Alex Walker); his great grandchild Emberly James; and his brother-in-law Greg Walker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
