He was predeceased by: his siblings, Wanda Kimbrell, Carolyn Fears, Donna Holman, Robert Fears and Herschel Fears, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Don Dunnick.
He is survived by: his wife Jody Fears (Moore); his children, Christopher Fears and Abigail Fears; and his sister Betty Dunnick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
