He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Buchanan and Mary Buchanan; his wife Janice Lee Rodeffer; his brother Curt; his siblings-in-law, Cuba Buchanan, Geneva and Jim Duckworth; and his in-laws, Ernest and Juanita Rodeffer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Hecklinski and Tammie Gill (Darrin); his grandchildren, Stephanie Marsh (Brad), Sacha Burkett (Josh) and Devin Gill; his great grandchildren, Ezekiel, Myles, Damon, Baker and Anthony; his sister Patty Nelson; his nieces and nephews, Kevin Duckworth (Debbie), Greg Duckworth (Nancy) and Kim Olinger (Wayne); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brad, Travis (Susan), Betsy, Jennifer (Mark), Winston (Emma), Nathan and Grant (Claudia); and his caregiver Jaime Kantz.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Garden View Funeral Home (10501 IN-3, Muncie, IN 47303). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memory Cemetery (10703 IN-3, Muncie, IN 47303).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a non-profit of your choice.
