He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Shinkle and Merle Shinkle (Curtis); his brothers, John Wayne "Bo" Shinkle and Kenneth Ray Shinkle; his brothers-in-law, Barney Lowe and Mike Terrell, Sr.; his nephews, Mike Terrell, Jr., Conner Mason Terrell and Kenneth Lowe; and his grandparents, John "Jack" Curtis, Lillie May Curtis and Nellie Shinkle.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Shinkle and Jessica Shinkle; his grandchildren, Brandon Shinkle and Isabella Shinkle; and his siblings, Mary Terrell, Linda Lowe and Bruce Hampton (Jennifer). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
