She was predeceased by: her parents, Mannon Hewel Kempton and Eva Marie Kempton (Marcum); her daughter Lois A. Wilson; and her brothers, Donald, Delmar and Mack Kempton.
She is survived by: her husband Herlon Smith; her daughters, Carolyn and Kathy; and her granddaughter Megan Wilson Brock (Tyler Lindsey). She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
