He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence E. Childers and Violet Childers (Brees). He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Childers; and his children, Teresa Gilbert (Robert), Brian Childers (Jill), Robert Childers (Sabrina), Michael Childers (Maria) and Kendra Smokewood (Jeremy). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
