She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank David Basinger and Mary Helen Jones Basinger; and her husband Bill Janney. She is survived by: her daughter Tiffany Janney Arnold; her son-in-law Thomas Arnold (Muncie); her grandchildren, Thomas (San Francisco), Sophia (New York City) and Lucia (Miami); and her sister-in-law Mary Jo Basinger. She is also survived by nephews, nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Elaine and Bill Janney Scholarship Fund at the Youth Symphony Orchestras of East Central Indiana.
