She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnie Abram and Annie Laura Abram (Thompson); her husband Odell Scott; her siblings, Annie Bell Brown, Nancie "Kate" McGee, Naomi Ruth Dollison, Lottie Stewart, Lillie Nelson, Jimmie Robinson, Blumie Abram Sr., Lonnie Abram Sr. and Renzie Abram Sr.; her grandson Mark Lewis Anderson; and her great grandchildren, Adilynn Grace Barnes, Davionne Barnes and Javionne Barnes.

She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Barnes, Diane Anderson (Delbert), Frank Scott Sr. (Sheila) and MaryAnne Barnes (Jeffery); her adoptive daughter Gail Penn; Sandy Moser. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren.
