He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Fount Childers and Mary Childers; his wife Lori Riegle; and his siblings, Bettie Turner and Robert Wayne Childers.

He is survived by: his daughter Danielle Childers; and his brothers, Chuck Childers (Janie) and Rich Childers (Joan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
