He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert E. Westerman and Minnie Westerman (Huntington); and his brothers, Carl Westerman and John Westerman. He is survived by: his wife Diana Westerman (Brown); his children, Dale Westerman (Karen) of Illinois, Bonita Richman (Randall) of Oregon and Barbara Greer of Indiana; and his sisters, Rita Craig of Indiana and Dodie Hanson of Florida. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
