He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Tapley and Effie Tapley (Coffey); his significant other Louise Waters; his siblings, Kenneth Tapley and Joyce Tucker; and his grandson Craig Fannin.
He is survived by: his children, Penny Armstrong (John) and Jeffery Tapley (Terri); his brothers, Larry Tapley (Hazel), Jerry Tapley (Brenda) and Roy Tapley (Betty); his grandchildren, Terra Barlow (Marilyn) and Miccah West (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Piper, Makenna, Thomas, Darrian, McKenna, Blaine, Casea, Gage, Ryleigh, Natalee and Shawn. He is also survived by one great-great-granddaughter, three great-great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
