We announce the death of Ina Hurt of Muncie, Indiana, who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 91. Ina will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Simpson and Ida Simpson (Delk); her husband Paul Hurt; her son Jeff Hurt; her grandson Chris Hurt; and her siblings, Benny, Keith, Paul, Kenneth, Irene, Lula, Evelyn and Alvie.
She is survived by: her son Scott Hurt; her granddaughter Angela Mader (Craig); her great grandchildren, Macie Goodman, McKenzie Shroyer (Nathan), Clayton Mader, Carson Mader (Sydney) and Dylan Goodman; her great great grandchildren, Brixton Mader, Nathan, Rileigh, Daniel, William and Ryder; and her sisters, Joyce Bernard (Gaylord) and Dean Brewster.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Parson Mortuary (801 W Adams St, Muncie, IN 47305). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Diabetes Association or to the donor's favorite charity.
