He was predeceased by: his mother June Simpson. He is survived by: his daughters, Rebekah Elizabeth Keith (Jeremy Keith) and Rachel Gabriella Richardson; his wife Ann Simpson; his brother Charles "Chuck" Simpson; and his grandchildren, William Keith, Marshall Keith and Lola Richardson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Living Tribute (Memorial Tree Planting for National Forests) and Lutheran Church of the Cross in memory of David Simpson.
