He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Johnson and Inez Johnson (Strahan); his wife Jennifer Johnson; and his siblings, Ann Johnson and Chris Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, James Johnson Jr. (Melanie) and Jama Munson (Matthew); his adoptive daughter Ann King (Kevin); and his brother Ed Johnson (Carolyn). He is also survived by five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Glad Tidings Church (3001 S Burlington Dr, Muncie, IN 47302). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
