She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Bess Houser (Cashman). She is survived by: her father John Houser; her daughters, Michele Cook (Todd) and Stefanie Decker-Niccum (Greg); her sister Jill Smith; and her grandchildren, Kendra and Nicholas Newman.

Jan loved animals and travel, and the family asks in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to ARF.
