It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Longfellow (Muncie, Indiana), who passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Longfellow and Mary Longfellow (Robertson); and his brother Robert "Bob" Longfellow. He is survived by: his wife Dixie Longfellow (House) of Muncie; his children, Lori Taylor (Don) of Muncie, Natalie Finch (Bill) of Colleyville, TX and Jim R. Longfellow (Jennifer) of Muncie; his grandsons, Reid Finch of Colleyville, TX. and Luke Finch of Colleyville, TX.; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth McKinney of Muncie and Colten Barker of Muncie; his siblings-in-law, Linda Longfellow, Randy House (Samra Deavers) of Muncie, Kent House (Susan) and Luray; his grandchildren, Andrew Summers and Amanda Book; his great grandchildren, Ariella Johnson and Ayva Summers; and his granddaughter Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Meeks Mortuary and Crematory - Washington St. Chapel (415 E Washington St, Muncie, IN 47305).
Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice of local sports programs that will benefit the children of Muncie.
