She was predeceased by: her sisters, Rita Sayre and Carolyn Hiser. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Troy Burkett (Renee Coates), Steven Burkett (Brenda) and James Bryan Burkett; and her siblings, Marilyn Scales and William Scales. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Meeks Mortuary and Crematory - Mt. Pleasant Chapel (7901 W Co Rd 50 N, Muncie, IN 47304). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
