He was predeceased by: his parents, Curt Howard and Rosemary Howard (Dudley); and his former wife Cathy Howard (Niccum). He is survived by: his wife Cyndi Howard (Fields); his children, Curt Howard (Ashley) and Adriel Pierce; and his sisters, Patricia Johnson (Albert), Roseann Morgan (Harold) and Debbie Miller (Tony). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution and in keeping with John's love for nature, the family has suggested those be offered to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
