It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Richard Montgomery of Muncie, Indiana, who passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Montgomery and Dora Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Esther Montgomery (Ortiz); and his daughters, Christin Whittenburg (Robert), Rose Marie Fugate (Clayton) and Mary Lynn Pearson. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
