He was predeceased by: his father John McNeil; his grandmother Ada Mae Ferguson; his parent Willie Mae Sutters; his brother William Sutters; and his son John Davis Sutters Jr..
He is survived by: his daughter Parisha Sutters; and his sister La-Ada Sutters Gonzalez. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
