He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe B. Teel and Eddie E. Teel; his wife Peggy; his siblings, Willa Riddle, Hazel Teel, Silas Teal, Sue Gregory, Jackie Teel, Robbie Lee Teel and Addie Lawson; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Teel and Betty Teal.
He is survived by: his sons, John Jr. (Heidi) and Mark (Shelly); his siblings, Mary Furniss (Oliver) and Volley Teel (Roger); his grandsons, Anthony, Christopher, Aaron (Stephanie), Andy (Jenna) and Jackson Teal; his great grandchildren, Helen, Rachell Teal, Nicholas Wells (Teal), Mehlani Payton, Harper Jones, Ali, Brianna (Shane), Jake (Macy), Hunter, Conner, Carly and Ben Teal; and his great great grandchild Colton Wells (Teal). He is also survived by his wife and family and had numerous friends.
