She was predeceased by: her daughter Marissa Faith Hughes; and her aunt Belinda Jo Crabtree. She is survived by: her parents, Edward D. "Butch" Whittenburg and Janet A. Whittenburg (Gruwell); her son Bristol Hughes; her husband Mathias Schindler; her sister Amy Smalley (Andrew); her parents-in-law, Calvin and Vicki Schindler; and her sister-in-law Wendy Schindler. She is also survived by several nieces and one nephew.
