He was predeceased by: his wife Hessie Smith (Cook); his son Larry; and his daughter-in-law Cynthia. He is survived by: his son Jerry; his grandchildren, Matthew Smith (Karen) of Burke, Virginia, Jolene Monteilh (Edwin) of Cumming, Georgia, Rachel Seaton (Keith) of Collierville and Adam Smith (Jennifer) of Leo, Indiana; his great grandchildren, Carter, Noah and Avery Smith; his grandchildren, Devynn, Gavin, Evan Monteilh, Hallie, Addison, Katelyn Seaton, Isaac, Jordan and Silas Smith; and his siblings, Lucille Wright of Muncie and Carson Smith (Shirley) of Hartford City.
