She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Myles Ries and Frances Mae Ries (Davis); and her brothers, Edward Ries, Jr. and Gordon Ries (Lorraine). She is survived by : her friends, Anita Pillow and Virginia Stamper; her children, Sandra Neal (late H. Allen Neal), Karen Phillips, Gary Phillips, Gail Phillips and Janice Swenson (James Swenson); and her grandchildren, Autumn Lewandowski (Benjamin), Taylor Neal (Jennifer), Allison Neal, Andrew Swenson and Alexander Swenson. She is also survived by her family and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Meeks Mortuary and Crematory - Mt. Pleasant Chapel (7901 W Co Rd 50 N, Muncie, IN 47304). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel (7901 W Co Rd 50 N, Muncie, IN 47396).
