He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Alice (Hofherr) and Robert Augustine Brand; and his brothers, William Francis (Shirley), Phillip Leslie (Joyce) and Thomas Frederick Brand (Connie).
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Lorraine Hotmire; his children, Melia Lynn Clawson (Brian) of Muncie, Michael Allen Brand (Lisa) of Albany and Mark Eugene Brand (Lori) of Phoenix, Arizona; his siblings, Robert David Brand (Elsie) of Muncie, Judith Ann Davis (late Joseph) and Janice Elaine Simpson (Eddie) of Muncie; his grandchildren, Colby Brand (Nicole), Ashley Brand, Mackenzie Martin (Brandon), Lindsey Emeterio (Tanner), Skyler Brand (Haleigh) and Devin Clawson; and his great grandchildren, Nolan, Josephine, Lauren, Wilder, Bodhi, Aspen and Abel.
