He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Pansy Smith (Millspaugh); his wife Mary Hankins; his son Butch Smith; and his siblings, William Smith, Richard Smith, Uva Mae Collins, Betty Foust, Christal Marine and Janet Smoot.
He is survived by: his children, William Smith of Eaton and Samara Perry (Bill) of Litchfield; and his grandchildren, Misty Garringer, Shawn Kuba, Lucas Smith, Jeremy Wine (Sarah), Dustin Wine (Jessica), Kenneth Wine (Sally), Rachel Perry and William Perry (Ally). He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
