Though Michael Robert may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kristina Sue Townsend Dorton and Monte Dorton; his son Michael Lee Dorton of Killeen, Texas; his brothers, Scott Smith of Indianapolis and Matthew Dorton of Parris Island; and his wife Lorraine Beckley Dorton.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel (1415 N Gate Rd, Madison, IN 47250).
