He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smiley and Ina Smiley (Evans); and his sister Emily Marr. He is survived by: his sister Dawn Montague (Murray); and his sibling's children, Elisabeth Montague, Hannah Houle (Erik), Peter Montague (Jennifer) and Ian Hanken.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Athanasius Byzantine Catholic Church (1117 Blaine Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46221). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
