He was predeceased by: his mother Rena P. Wright (Blankenship). He is survived by: his father Richard L. Wright Sr. of Muncie; his stepmother Pat; his children, Amanda, Angel and Rickie; his grandchildren, Ja'len, Jesse, Elijah, Amara, Annie, Alayna, Maliegha, Makiah and Majennicka; his sisters, Julie and Patricia; and his close friend Ladean Houston. He is also survived by her children and grandchildren that gave him the name Papaw.
