He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Smith and Dorothy Smith (Hardin); his grandparents, Lee and Viola Hardin; and his siblings, Michael Smith and Becky Maichel.
He is survived by: his daughter Bethany Allen (John); his sister Lavina Reimer (Walter); and his grandson Elijah John Lee Allen. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
