Robert M. Hartley Obituary
We announce the death of Robert M. Hartley of Muncie, Indiana, who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 79. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Hartley and Robert Hartley; his sister Jill Fulton; and his in-laws, William and Wilma Fisher.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Hartley; his children, Shannon Hartley (Glenn Fitzgerald), Stephen Hartley (Katie Hall) and Bill Shook; his grandchildren, Lucy Kim (Peter Kim), Oliver Hall Hartley, Connor Green and Ashlyn Starr; and his siblings, Tom Hartley (Nell Hartley) and Meg Northart (David Northart). He is also survived by great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cornerstone Center (520 E Main St, Muncie, IN 47305). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the William Flannery Memorial Fund at The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County, PO Box 807, Muncie, IN 17308.
