He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Hartman and Thelma Marie Hartman; and his wife Velma I. Hartman. He is survived by: his granddaughter Destiney; his children, Robert C. Hartman, Jr. (Rachel), Henry Hartman, Kenneth Hartman (Joel), Lisha Hartman, Douglas Hartman (Lucinda) and Mary Tilley (Sam); his grandchildren, Angie Hartman, Misty LaForce, Russell Hartman, Holly Friddle, Kenneth Keys, Paige Ann Hartman, Stephane Hope, Brian Hartman, Jack Monroe, Judd Monroe, Cheryl Lambert and Terry Sailors; his adoptive son Jimmy Carol; his brother Billy Hartman (Roma); and his son-in-law Eugene Hahn.
