He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hughes and Amanda J. Hughes; and his daughter Nicole Rene Hughes. He is survived by: his son Matthew Hughes; his brother Steve Hughes; his grandchildren, Logan and Elijah; his nephew Steve; his niece Brandy; and his close friend Carl Cruz.
