He was predeceased by: his parents, Robinson Slaven (R. C.) and Juanita Slaven; his brothers, Bill Slaven and Gene Pierce; and his brother-in-law Darrell Case.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores "DeDe" Digman Slaven; his sons, Shane Slaven (Missy), Jeremy Tydge Slaven (Michelle), Wesley Slaven and Jakob Slaven; his stepdaughter Jillianne Davis; his grandchildren, Kameron Slaven (Maddie), Kaleb Slaven and Olivia Slaven; his sisters, Carrie Case, Jessie Francine Jones (Willa Dean) and Fawn Shirley; and his caregiver Ashley Dunn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
