She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Hines and Mary Hines (Stark); her stepmother Frankie Mae Hines; her husband Edward Banks; her sons, Edward "Pete" Banks and David Banks; her sister Elizabeth Miller; her granddaughter Cara Myers; and her close friend Ananias Thompson.
She is survived by: her caregiver Mary Jo Banks; her granddaughters, Erin Banks and Brandi Banks; her niece Addie Miller; and her close friends, Catherine Ross, Marie Powell and Carlisse Mitchell. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her family, Rosemary made significant contributions to her community, leaving an indelible mark through her work fighting to prevent educational discrimination in Muncie, promoting the community of Whitely, and volunteering for local elections and at the YMCA.
