He is survived by: his children, Snapper Morgan (Jennifer Burrell), Samuel Barry Becktell II, Geniver Becktell (T. Y. Campbell) and Zadie Becktell-McCollough; and his nephew Allen Cason (Dorothy). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
