He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Benbow and Melba Benbow (Daugherty); and his cousins, Robert McFadden (Marjorie) and Martha Sue Butler (William). He is survived by: his cousins, Elaine Harvat (Joe), Barbara Canan (Dan), Janet St. Clair (Tim) and Bill Butler (Jan); and his friend David Thurston.
