He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Robert and Thelma Fern Dillmon (Hornbaker); his former wife Betty Sue Dillmon; his son-in-law Robert Williamson; and his brothers, Richard Dillmon and Jim Dillmon.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Dillmon of Muncie; his children, Robyn Williamson of Muncie, Lesa Criswell (Terry) of Muncie and Robert Brian Dillmon of Boynton Beach, FL; his stepchildren, Jill Baney (Dan) of Avon, Kay Beam (Ralph) of Mishawaka and Lynn Case (Larry) of Auburn; and his sisters, Kathy Sorenson (Peter) of Ft. Wayne and Pat Vanderbur of Hartford City. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and eleven step-great-grandchildren.
