He was predeceased by: his parents, Hanna Lem and Irving Lem; and his grandmother Libby Goldstein Brown. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Courtney Kempen (Lindenman), Brent Lindenman, Ethan, Cole Huskey, Hanna and Lily Lem-Moustakas; his wife Iris Johns; his daughters, Lisa Lindenman (Lawrence), Ellyn Lem (Trevor Huskey) and Holly Lem (Nick Moustakas); and his sister Marlene Kaplan (Louis).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Kish Funeral Home (10000 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN 46321). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at the Kneseth Israel Cemetery (1648 167th St, Hammond, IN 46324). A shiva was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
