He was predeceased by: his parents, Sig Kaufman and Marie Kaufman; his siblings, Carol and Morris; and his niece Janet.

He is survived by: his children, Jane Nowak (Timothy) and Roger Kaufman; his grandsons, Jay, Michael, Roger and Timothy; and his nieces, Shirley, Mary Ellen, Barbara, Anne, Christina and Donna.
